I have a Sigma 50mm EX DG 1:1 Macro lens and am very pleased with it.
There is no Depth of field scale for the various apetures on the barrel and no chart in the instructions. I do not have a 50mm non-macro to compare it against, but have the feeling from reviewing some shots that the depth of field is quite a bit less than a normal lens at the same settings.
Did I give up some D.O.F. in the normal range to gain that incredible 1:1 capability?
