p.1 #1 · Flashbracket on D2X?

I have a problem.
I bought a flashbracket ( A Nikon SK-9) from my dealer.. have had no problems before and i trust them.
They told me it was for the D2X., and when i got it back home i tried to attach the wire to the cam... and it doesn't fit... different connector then the cam... have i missed something or??

The SK-9 is for CoolPix cameras... What flash are you connecting? Why not use a Stroboframe or something similar? If you have a Nikon SpeedLight then take a look at the SK-6.

Forget the SK-6 - too expensive for what you get and not nearly versatile enough.

What you need is a good bracket for the camera (L-bracket is best) and a quick release bracket set that allows you to put the flash almost anywhere around the camera you want by connecting the flash bracket to the L bracket on the camera. Then you need a flash cord like the SC-17 or SC-28,29 - much cheaper (ok, not cheap, but VERY cool gear none-the-less) solution which yields much more flexibility. Check out the Wimberley products - AWESOME stuff. L brackets can be had from Kirk or Really Right stuff.
