I am still waiting for the weather to clear around Steptoe Butte. There has been no more than 5 minutes the sun was not behind some heavy cloud. I am still almost empty handed after I have been here for 3 days. I did see a lot of wildlife around though (I am down here to do landscape!!) and I am glad that I have my 300f4IS and TCs. Here are two of the imges:
I hope they are not too bad in terms of processing as my laptop is not exactly the best for photo editing. I drove slowly to within 10 ft and shot them from inside my verhicle.

Thank you for your nice comments. As I have never used the laptop to do any editing, I am a bit concern about the results. Glad to know that it works.

When I took that shot it was actually raining and the sky was very heavily overcast. That was why the lighting was so soft and all the color became quite saturated. It worked nicely for this shot. The 300f4IS can provid every nice dreamy background too. Thank you for your comment.
