p.1 #1 · #134: Grandfather's Point-n-Shoot

I'm a longtime forum viewer, occasional poster, and this my first Weekly Assignment submission. My image is a straightforward view of another century's State of The Art - a 1913 Kodak camera I picked up at a flea market as a child.

The camera was sitting on a table in near-total darkness, lit only by a hand-held micro MagLite flashlight during a 30-second exposure. It was slightly desaturated, and a mild USM was applied to the lensboard.

Exposure info: 30s - f/8.0 - iso100

Good choice for lighting IMHO, Great textures come out in the lens board and the bellows.

Thanks, James. Here's a crop from the above image showing the patent dates (1910 & 1913) on the lens mount -

Nice contrast of the blacks and grey tones in this, Zap. Good idea on the lighting, adds a fine ambient mood. Mike
