Thanks for the confirmation ED. To the best of my knowledge Nikon did not mfg. a TC with a screw drive coupling.
The Kenko PRO 300 AF 1.4X DGX will auto focus with the Screw Drive or AFS and works fine with MF lenses.
There is not much difference in IQ. Nikon is better build. The Kenko seems to like a little higher ISO. These are shot with the AFS 300 f4 & D7100 in Aperature mode auto ISO. When I tried Manual mode with same ISO the Kenko under exposed a little. So the Nikon seems to gather light a little better in this unscientific hand held comparison.

Here's the skinny on the AF 300 f4 and Kenko TC...
With judicious use of the the focus limiters, it works pretty well.
It's a little softer in the corners on FX (noticed when compared to
Nikon's 1.4 on the AF-S version, side by side) Good bang for buck.
