The general consensus is that the CV12 has less color cast and smearing issues that the CV15. This seems to be typical accross all the different camera bodies. I don't recall seeing may samples with the A7s but I bet it works just fine. If you like wiiiiiiiide....

Thanks! Actually I was able to find some examples on Flickr and they look really good!
I am going for it! I know, it will be wiiiiiiiiide
I'm going for the LTM version by the way. What filters can I use on it?
Just know the M-version has far higher resale value, and easier with filters.
from Stephen Gandy:
New version is M bayonet mount - fits all Leica M mount cameras - but not screw mount cameras
New M version now has rangefinder coupled focusing, not lens distance scale focusing as before
New M mount 12/5.6 has same optics as previous version Screw Mount 12/5.6
Rangefinder Close focus .7m - if your camera's rangefinder can focus to .7m
New M version takes 67mm filters without a filter adapter like original version required
Scale focusing from .5m to .7m
Weight 230 grams, length 42.5 mm
New M version has larger built in lens hood
New much improved vision metal 12mm viewfinder now has brightline, roughly 1/2 size of 1st version $349
Announced 1/20/10
There is a special filter adapter I guess.
Optics same so if you have good deal on LTM

There is a new version of the VC 15 due out soon, announced at Photokina, that is bigger but may have better performance (I hope so for the A7r)
New Adobe Camera Raw 8.7 RC has a lens profile for CV 12mm 5.6 and it resolved even some of the vignetting/color cast problems on A7R, so it should work with A7s with no problems: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/10/1366.html
CV 15mm is coming as posted, but so far no date and price on it... It might be better then CV 12mm, but again 12mm will not be replaced as far widenesss when you need that... Mine is screw mount version. These were shot w/ A7R:
M mount version focuses down to 0.5m, even though a Leica RF doesn't. SO it's got cool close focus on the Sony's. I mostly use mine on the M coded as a 21mm. But with some Lightroom flatfield, it works great on the A7 as well.
I recently shot a bunch of M and LTM lenses on the a7S at infinity to check for edge smearing. IMO, CV12 is slightly better than the current CV15, in this respect. Will be interesting to see how the soon to come CV15 will compare.
In case anyone is interested, here are full-rez files from wide open through f/16 on the 12mm and up to f/11 on the 15mm. It's a zipped folder on Google Drive
If Google throws up some warning about no preview available, or can't scan for viruses, just click through.
I'll get around to posting this as a blog write-up, with all the tested lenses, hopefully in the next week or so.
Wow, this is well timed. I was going to ask about the 12mm f/5.6 because when I sell my Canon 10-22, I will lose my ultra-wide angle capability. This, of course, is even wider. The addition of the ACR profile makes this a viable proposition on the A7R. I can live with not-so-great corners on a lens like this because it's so wide. What I couldn't live with was the extreme vignetting and purple colour cast.
Distortion is 1.5% on apsc nex camera per photozone review. I have not seen anything for FF, but for my use, it is very small distortion for a lens this wide... Also I think new Adobe profile is correcting the distortion as well.

Is there visible distortion when shooting interiors?

It seems pretty well corrected for distortion. What you will get is greatly exaggerated perspective, which some might also consider 'distortion'. I would suggest careful use of the lens as it will make foreground objects huge in comparison to those even just a couple meters away.
