For sale is a Canon 600/4 L IS mk I lens in great condition. I would rate it as 9/10 as the only blemishes are minor paint chips in the typical areas where they occur, and some small touch ups that were done by Canon to cover those blemishes. The glass is pristine with no scratches, nicks, fungus, or visible dust.
PRICE: $6,000 net of fees and shipping.
Also for sale are several extras/accessories. See below for details.
The date code is UU (2006). I had this lens refurbished by Canon to bring it up to better cosmetic condition. They replaced some of the metal casings that had paint wear and scratches. Please note that there was NO DAMAGE or malfunctioning part. A CPS clean and check was performed, and all functions such as AF and IS were in spec.
The following items are also for sale with the lens, or after the lens is sold:
I'm in Virginia Beach, VA and would welcome local transactions. If you're near the area, I'm more than happy to let you use the lens to check its operation and condition. I have good feedback on this site, and I stand by my sales 100%.
If you're unsatisfied with the lens for any reason, let me know within 3 days of receiving the lens and I'll refund your purchase price- no hassles. Return shipping would be on you.
PM me if you have any questions. I'm selling this because I've pre-ordered the new 200-400, and I'd love to be able to tell my wife that I have a plan on how to pay for it. That said, I will likely not be inclined to discount the price unless you can pay by a fee-free method or pick up in person.
Low profile lens foot shown is *not* included in the sale

This is a super-sharp lens, ladies and gentlemen! Look at the price of the new Mark II superteles and you'll see the value in this offering. This is probably the least expensive way to enter into the long-distance focal length arena- this lens easily takes a 1.4x with great results, and is even serviceable with a 2x!
Here is a manually focused, unedited shot using BOTH TCs in tough heat haze conditions- look at the detail in the shot!
Shot at 1680mm (stacked 2x III and 1.4x II with extension tube between)
