#1 works more for me.

I dig the interplay of light/dark that accompanies the distance/spatial relationship.

what can you do beyond this? the first one is really amazing, maybe the camera could have gone lower.

buy a new camera... this one isn't good enough for you anymore

though composition isn't working in #2 & #3

Really like the first one as well, for the reasons Kent articulated.
My own inclination would be to crop from the bottom, making a bit more of a triangular shape of the bottom-most sands, echoing the more sharply pointed shapes of the lighter sands above.
Second and third feel more aimless, wandering after the wonderful play of shape, light and dark in the first.
First deserves print and framing. Nice work!!
