Next stop on our trip....Zion National Park....one of the iconic images of Zion is the view of the Watchman from the bridge at the entry to the canyon. Some nights you can find dozens of photographers lined up (so I've ben told!), so I decided to head upstream to see what I could find. Really grateful for those clouds as it had been clear blue skies just about all day.
Only 4 days left on this trip....next stop is the Fire Wave at Valley of Fire State Park before we finish off with a visit to the USA's newest National Park....Pinnacles National Park in California.
Also, wanted to say thanks for all the feedback on my previous posts....its been hard keeping up with replies whilst on the road, up early for sunrise and then out late for sunset......so many thanks to all those comments.
cheers Andrew
Awesome shot you have Andrew! Glad to see the Watchman from the upstream. I also took shots from the bridge but was not really satisfied with the composition. You have a wonderful sunset right at the watchman.. I love the reflection onto the Virgin River.. Bravo. Good luck with the Fire Wave ! -Kee
We can count on you, Andrew, to find a different view and apply wonderful lighting to it. It's amazing to me how you do this on a first visit to our parks, without having been able to scout it beforehand or being limited to the usual photographer's haunts. Anyhow, that one of the most evocative shots of the Watchman I've seen. Congratulations!
