Also, I wonder how this would work out with a much longer exposure -- long enough to give the Hudson a silky smooth look. The silky water might make for an interesting contrast to the sharp, clean edges of the steel frame.
Thanks for the comments, gentlemen. I agree with the point about the additional sky but given the limited space to maneuver under there and the lack of a T/S lens makes that a challenge.
I am using Nik's HDR software. Do you have any suggestions about why the tonal compression is different for the sky outside the towers versus inside? I was applying all changes to the entire image and I can't understand why the sky ended up as it it. I added control points to the sky under the bridge to adjust saturation and exposure but that didn't seem to do the trick.
I'm only working with two images here - I need to go back and do it right.
