I love it when Charlies posts these sweet scenes from FILM!
Especially being done on 35mm
Keeps me looking forward to taking more film images.
Thanks for posting Charlie
Thanks guys.
Bryce has the incredible shapes and colors of the rock, and winter snows add a contrast that I also find intriguing.
I've shot slide film for many years. I realize the richness of the colors can be off-putting for some; but for me they are just fine .
Many, many thanks to those who see and appreciate the special characteristics of film.
It ain't dead yet .
Charlie
Thanks Dustin and Nik.
Kodachrome ruled for 50 years- but no more .
Digital is now king.
But film still lives on- overlooked like a distant relative.
Except to some of us diehards .
Charlie
Thanks Bob and Helen.
Different people literally see colors differently.
Add to that the colors people expect, plus the colors people prefer.
Then add the amazingly different colors according to the light at the moments shutters are pressed.
Then add the possibilities of fiddling with color with computer software. And the fact that different monitors seldom look exactly the same as other monitors.
And there's more: Slide shooters like me shot for film projection onto a white screen. The digital world is way different. And scanning and processing digitally is a tough thing to do well.
Good luck to anyone telling another person how it SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE .
Charlie
