That is an amazing tree, I think it could do with a slight mid tone hit to up the contrast a bit INHOO

Cheers Ray

Thanks Ray. There are several trees around that place just like that. I'll try the midtone suggestion.

I like the image though I'd like to see more of the cabin.

I'll side with Greg on the desire to see more of the cabin, that said, I would like to see another angle of the tree, possibly wider, without the cabin in view.

Thanks Greg. I want to go back when the weather is right and try to get some alternate angles.

I might have to rent a really wide lens for that one! 35mm is as wide as I have right now. I think a 24 might work though.

A terrific image, J.R.
I also would like a bit more contrast.
While you're at it- rent a REALLY wide lens and get the full scope of those magnificent branches. That IS quite a tree.

No need to buy or rent a wider lens---doing so may capture your FOV but then the curved distortion of the many lines will be a PITA.
I suggest a reshoot with your 35 or longer lens--create an array (~ 3x3) of images covering your desired FOV and stitch them with Microsoft ICE (free). Crop the final result to suit, do note that this resulting image will contain many Megapix.--allowing tack sharp prints of considerable size. 17x25 ln and up!!!

good luck irv weiner

JR - this is a good image that just begs for a bigger screen. I like the pp technique a lot.

Thanks very much. The PP was a mix of silver e-fex pro and photoshop. I did a fairly big print, and I like this image more printed.
