Probably should've read my manual first but I'm away from it and am curious about this.
I use a little Sennheiser mic on my D4, but is there a way to shut off the internal D4 mic once the Sennheiser is plugged in? The first time I ran the Sennheiser, I kept my focus in auto and I could still hear my AF motor, which made me realize the internal mic was still on. Any ideas?
would say yes as my 800E offers shutting off the mike,, no camera near but if you go into the menu for the mike you can adjust the volume or totally shut down the internal unit,,
