It blows my mind that people will steal images of big name photographers and pass them off as their own. I saw one recently that took one of Jerry Ghionis' famous images and used it for a magazine ad. What are people thinking!
I tend to agree a bit for why should we care? It's in every profession and area of business all over the world. You can try to stop it but you never will. If someone wants to steal your images, they will. It's too easy.
I do think we need to care and do a better job protecting our work. As much as we all hate watermarks, it might be time to bring the ugly back.
As for saying something bad should happen to this person. That's just f'd up. Anyone that wish due harm to someone is not the kind of person we can call a professional. Karma is a bitch and when you cheat on her she fucks your shit up. He will get karmas dick kick soon enough. We don't need to wish it upon him.
I'm not going to be some crusader but this one landed in my lap as a mod of a board full of brides

Say Miss Bride is comparing two photogs' portfolios to make her decision. Mr. Honest Photog vs. Mr. Thieving Cheating Photog who's showing the best shots stolen from 20 different photogs. Miss Bride thinks Mr. Thief has a much better portfolio and hires him. This Cheater is taking food out of the mouths of his competitors' children! What would you think should happen to some Thief causing your children to go hungry.
If someone takes food out of my sonīs mouth in such a dishonest manner I just wish them the worst can possibly happen to them and in a very painful way if possible.
