The White River near where it crosses the Alaska Highway. A representative example of a large glacial river. From the air you can easily understand why such glacially-fed rivers are called "meandering."

Large glacial rivers look mostly like accumulated silt banks instead of water- from their banks. But at 2-3,000 feet you can see their real character.
