Made it up to Yosemite yesterday and caught a nice sunset. Not a lot of water coming over the falls, but still very pretty. Quite crowded, never seen so many cars at the little turnout I go to on South Side Dr. They had one lane blocked off for both N. Side and S. Side drives at least a quarter of a mile long. Anyway, there were a lot of folds there enjoying the view. Her are two of mine from the evening.
Very pleasing captures, Jim. I always enjoy seeing a wide view from Southside Drive which gives the sense of scale and position of Horsetail on El Cap.
I was in the park for several days through Friday and was flabbergasted by the number of supplicants at both main shooting sites - and particularly fascinated by the new parking arrangements.
I've been shooting Horsetail since the late 90s and can remember a time when perhaps no more than three or four of us gathered at the southside location.

Yes, seems like it's only been the last three or four years that the masses have shown up. Doesn't seem to change the view at all, but you have to arrive a bit earlier to get what I would call a decent possition. Thanks for the comments too.
