Nothing special. Three shots 2/3,0,-2/3 EV fused together in Photomatix. After that I imported the fused photo into LR4.xx. I bumped up shadows, reduced highlights, + whites, - blacks by bit & played around with vibrance & saturation till it looked pleasing, at least to my eyes. Also upped the exposure a shade.

I think you are a bit too saturated in your background. The shadows look too purple. May want to dial back on that a bit.
