This is a very minor suggestion: you might want to try bringing up the black point and/or reducing the contrast of the background elements a little bit to focus even more on the subject. For example in this case, bring that black rectangle on the right up to around 15 instead of a complete black 0. Temporarily blurring the image or looking at a greatly reduced version (like the thumbnails at the top of the forum) can be helpful in judging that type of thing.
