p.1 #1 · *MY* images found on other websites, witout permission!?
Hello,
I am not a professional.
I was reading an online article the other day,
<< ;http://www.petapixel.com/2013/02/14/beware-the-internet-when-it-comes-to-your-personal-photos/>>
So I searched on some of my images via Google.
I had a couple of links right from the start.
One on an anime site, another on a tattoo site.
This bothers me.
I will have to research more to see if they are selling it, or not.
Sigh, while I am not looking to be vindictive, I do not want someone using my work for their personal gain.
I don't even know what, or how to do anything about it.
Other than ask them not use my work.
I am also thinking of removing all my images.
The ONLY real reason I post is for feedback, etc. This is the only way I know of to learn more.
I find myself kind of sad, because part of me is saying, "I told you so!".
I guess this is a bigger problem than I had thought, or, am I being over reactive?
Has anyone any direct experience with this problem?

I don't mean to be a jerk, but some things you can control, some things are just a bit more difficult. I always ask: "How much is this hurting me?" Would they have paid you for it? No. They'd just find free images somewhere else.
The only way you can ever be assured of people not stealing your images is if you stopped taking them. For me, my images are made to be seen. If I found someone using my images (I don't have time to check, or it's just not a priority), I'd probably thank them for using it and simply ask for credit and a link back to my website. But... that's how I feel about it, and obviously I don't expect everyone to be as laissez faire about it as I am.
