If these are the most valuable items in his collection, then the large lot is probably also way overpriced.
There is at least one Rolleicord and one Rolleiflex in one of the photos. But, I can't tell which models. But since film cameras have taken such a hit on pricing since digital has taken off I have no idea as to what some of these cameras should sell for.
I am an avid photo gear collector and user, and am into photo history. I looked this pile over as closely as internet photos allow, and I'm just not seeing anything interesting. As far as I can tell, it's mostly lower end cameras from the 50s through the 70s. I see a lot of Argus cameras and cheap knock offs. There's a few almost nice cameras, such as a 1930s Rolleiflex, but those seem to be very few. I have doubts the whole pile is worth much more than $10,000. I might be optimistic with that. You'd have a problem reselling it all too. If you start dumping 30 Argus C3 bodies on ebay, you will quickly drive the price down to zero for a long time!
There's absolutely nothing in there for me. I like "big name" cameras from the 20s and 30s, and lenses from 1840 to 1859. I'd much rather have just one Leica Model 1 from the 1920s in good condition than that big pile listed on ebay.
