I lost my d800 and 600 lens in the mississippi last month and still waiting for Nikon to deliver. Anyone know of small photo shops that may have a 600 available? Larryt

Are you the one who lost it at L&D 14? If so those pics of you fishing out your gear is making it's way through all the photo forums.

Why not just order from Amazon? They seem to have some.

Shoot in 1.2 mode and crap like this is possible...handheld

Not that I can afford one, but they are easy to find. I sent you a PM with three sources that have them in stock. Unless a requirement is a small camera store... I doubt very many small stores routinely stock any of the big guns...

I just ordered from Samy's camera....Nikon 600mm vr. Thanks for your help. They now have two left in stock.
I was able to fish my gear out of the river. Surprisingly Nikon said no parts for the 5 yr. 600mm. The wimberley head and Gitzo were OK after a complete cleaning. Insurance is a good thing. I have Auto-Owners and they paid for new D800 and Nikon 600mm lens. larryt
