Has anyone tried this lens on a D800, on my camera it does not auto focus with the Bigma on but it does on a D300, curious if something wrong with camera/lens or just the way it is.
I know certain sigma lens/nikon body combos are noted to not work well together...the d7000 and sigm 20mm 1.8 comes to mind....i think the issues appear when you combine an older sigma lens, with a newer nikon body...
If your Sigma is an older lens, it probably needs to be re-chipped by Sigma. My d7000 won't work properly with any of my Sigma lenses, no AF in live view and poor focus in PDAF.

Not exactly my experience. On the D7000 NONE of my Sigma lenses work in live view, ALL of them work fine in PDAF. This includes a 150-500.
