What online/print resources would you recommend to a beginning real estate/interior photographer? I'm already tapping into Strobist and Joe McNally for a basic understanding of strobes, but would love to learn more.

The best thing you can do is find a good architectural photographer in your area and see if you can start assisting. You'll learn more faster that way in real world settings than any book or web site can give you. As someone who has been doing this for a long time, I'd say you're better off concentrating on your cameras and lenses than on strobes. These days, you can do so much with natural existing light that often you don't need any other lights and others, just a minimal augmentation to what's already there. We used to light everything with strobes and it took forever. These days, we much more apt to use just the modeling lamps or maybe a couple of Arri 650 watt tungsten lights.

I second what Peter said but from a designer's perspective. One of my last interior projects was shot for publication in Architectural Digest by one of their photographers. He did not use any strobes at all. He used a Hasselblad with a digital back and long bracketed exposures. In previous projects, over the years, the local photographers did use strobes, almost every time. I like the current look much better.

Here's a link to a thread further down in this section that has several interior shots I shot in December. All but one were entirely with existing light and the odd man out was very minimal bit with modeling lamps on the strobes.
