John, yes they know each other. They are both professionals and know exactly what to do in the water
They both benefit from getting great water shots. Good publicity for the surfer and sponsors and
Some nice sales of pics of top surfers to the mags.
Regards
David
David, great shots!!! A little story, I forwarded this link on to a friend of mine, who lives in Cornwall (small world),she was delighted to see them, she doesn't surf, but goes to the beach often to watch. Do you know who the surfer and photographer are? By some strange coincidence, maybe she knows them.
Bob, a shot from this session got photo of the day on magic seaweed.
The description attached by MSW read:
Photo of the Day: A few fun ones at Porthleven yesterday for those willing to brave the February chill. In the barrel, Ben Skinner. In the water Matt Stansfield.
David
Well done David. Especially the exposure. I've always had great difficulty getting any detail from those dark wet/dry suits without totally blowing out the foam in the water.
Sub 10 deg c water near freezing air. Yes you could say cold.
This wave is one of the best in the UK on its day. Needs to be bigger than this though.
Happens maybe once every 1-2 years.
You shooting much Michael?
David
Yeah David, I have been shooting a little but have not post any in a while. I took my yearly trip to the North Shore but kind of got skunked in regards to Waves and weather.
