We did have a short time to photograph the Golden Eagle last year when it paid a visit for just 2 days.
Here are some of them.

Shooting with Canon 1D Mark III and 500 F4 + 1.4x II TC.

Settings: 1/2000. �/7.1. ISO 800

1. Carrying half rabbit away

You are right, Eric. I am always excited to see any raptors and the Golden Eagle and Bald Eagle are top on my list.

Awesome! Supposedly there is a golden wondering around in Eastern Canada not far from where I live.

Thanks Charles. Good for you that you are located to the area where you can find some Golden Eagle.
We live in the Bay Area of California and only saw them few times. The year 2011 was the best year since the Golden Eagle came visit often and hunting but not 2012. Hope it will come back this year and stay for a while.
