Truth be told it took me awhile to decide on sharing this set of images out partly because of the tragic event in Sandy Hook Elementary late last year. It shook us up quite a bit. Children are just so precious. Each year my wife and I look forward to photographing some school kids. Children photography is a small part in our folio works. But they always leave such a large incredible experience. Here's a multi-day photoshoot project for "I Want to Be". We started outdoors to capture the Fall leaves. One of them told me that they are now spoiled for school photos. Anyways, I've been receiving a few pings on the Speed Grid OCF. Instead of responding to individuals, I am posting a simple sketch of the flash set-ups. Picture is worth a thousand words. Please forgive my terrible drawing. The flash with the speed grid is mounted high. It's not aimed directly at the subject. I want the light to kinda fall pass the subject. M mode throughout including flash settings. They are triggered via wireless. For #9 effect, just use smaller Av, or low ISO. Feb 13, 2013 at 05:28 PM
