On my latest trip, the lens hood screw on my 500 II F4 snapped off. I was able to use it by holding it in place to screw the hood on and off. I am going to Canon repair in Irvine in 2 weeks. Has anyone had this happen or was I just unlucky. I am sure warranty will fix it but it looks like the entire hood will have to be replaced.
