We happened to be looking at the same temple statue at the same time, and I asked these two women to stand next to the statue. I even (as I remember) asked them to copy the gesture of the statue... one of the VERY few times I've asked a stranger to pose for me.
The two obliged, and the look of the woman on the right made my day (the look was solely HER doing ).
This is great. I love people pics that tell a story. Oh sure, the birdie forum is fun for viewing microscopic pinfeathers from a mile away, and the wedding peeps-- well, let me just say that there are fashions and trends in wedding photography that leave me puzzled. Hurrah for the people forum and your generosity in sharing your work!
Thanks Dein, BB and Alrac (I know your secret, alraC ).
I shoot simple images of what I've seen as I traveled. Few people express an interest in that (fair enough)- so it's always a great thrill to know that some do.

Some secret, eilrahC As fun as it is to geek out on the technology, and all the modern bells and whistles, the camera is still just a tool, and the idea is to make good photos. And that is entirely on the photographer.
Thanks Helg and (again ) alraC.
I was most active with travel and photography during the age of film- especially Kodachrome- and before digital got started. Therefore, photographers had to do almost all their planning before clicking the shutter.
