If you purchase the refurb from the Nikon store, you get 14 days to return it for credit if defective. Otherwise it is a 90 day non-transferrable warranty to the original purchaser. Same will apply if you buy a refurb from an authorized dealer.
Nikon warranties are not transferrable. So if you are asking what your warranty is if you bought a refurb from another person, the answer is, none.
Cameta offers a 1 year warranty. Adorama likewise, or they did a few weeks ago. Check. Same with B&H. The 1 year warranty matches Nikon's standard warranty. The second warranty covers the second owner only AFAIK.
The price reduction and 1 year warranty is what convinced me to by a refurb. It's only a few weeks, but I am totally pleased with it. It exhibits no problems.

Does anyone have an idea what the warranty is on a refurbished D800e to the 2nd owner?
Thx

All Nikon refurbs from Adorama come with a 90-day return-to-Nikon warranty, and if you are signed up to the Adorama VIP programe http://www.adorama.com/pages/vip you can subsequently buy a warranty for just $7.95, which will cover ALL your purchases from Adorama, including refurbs (provided they have at least 90 days to start) for a whole year.
I know, it sounds too good to be true, but it's for real!
