Thanks for the feedback Ute, and Douglas. First chance I've had to shoot ice and water. Offers opportunities for a lot of micro compositions. Would like to try it again.
Great set Ed. I personally love the first one. The compressed perspective and contrast between the slow motion waters and sharp ice edges creates a very interesting effect.

Thanks for the positive feedback on this. Talked with my daugher this morning. They got 2 feet of snow there last night. Mike and Den, you better head out that way again. Be sure to bring snowshoes.
Be sure to bring snowshoes.
Won't be for a while Ed I haven't even seen a plow yet.
Not that it would matter since the gov has all the roads closed and my car is still under about 4 feet of drift.
You got a couple of nice takes and great conversions too.
Hey, Den. Thanks for commenting. Did you get a chance to go out this weekend? If so, please post a few. Haven't seen anything from Mike either. With all that snow there must be some awesome shots to capture.
Another vote for the first as fave....though Ute makes a good point about the numerous textures in the 2nd.
I'm also wondering if Douglas isn't on to something with his suggestion to crop some off the top......to just above the 'spray' bouncing around off that highest landing spot. It does make an interesting almost square comp.
