I like the lines in the last, it provides a nice perspective. The angle of the newspaper feels a bit off, with it coming in from the side. Can't help but wonder what a wide angle shot encompassing the whole scene would look like. The framing of the Rancilio machine also is odd to my eyes. Perhaps it is the label that is slightly cut off, or not enough space given to the handle but it seems a little bit squeezed in there. Just my 2 cents, hopefully helpful.
Unsure as to why you would think that these images are 'macro'
A lot of portrait photographers use macro lenses to 'condense' the image but their pics certainly aren't macro. . .

... tells me now exactly what? That I shouldn't have opened the thread? No problem. Deleted.
Sorry, but after only 30 years of photography I can't know what macro means. Good to have you around to explain.
BTW, how many categories do you know here at FM, where the thread would fit the bill better? None? Ah. I see. And which one comes closest? People? Landscape? Black & White? Ah. Always great to have some wisenheimer around. Helps a lot.
EDIT: Flickr-link in opening post didn't work. Now it does.
