Ben,
Thanks for the kind words.Ive spend a lot of time trying to improve my Hockey images, with the help of a lot of people on this forum.I now shoot everything raw and manual, but have tried to get it as right as possible in camera.
With regard to WB,Ive played around and am now going with AWB on the D3s.Ive also found the sweet spot of our rink with the 300mm,which is between the two blue lines, where the lighting is the best and most consistent.
Still a long way to go,but I finally feel Im getting somewhere ! Thanks again for the comments !
Hey, I was wondering if you would mind telling me your settings..I have gone back and forth with my D3S..do you use in camera sharpening, what autofocus do you use? Single auto focus area? 9 or 21? Thanks..pictures look great!

Shane,
Thanks for the comments.Ive been playing about with settings with my Hockey images and have found that the following work for me AF-C, Dynamic 21 point and focus tracking on normal.I am now also using AWB and shot RAW and Manual.
I sometimes go with single focus point for other Sports (Shot some Badminton on the weekend) which helps when things might effect focus.
These seem to be working for me from behind the goal, but obviously its best to find what works for you.Maybe they are a good starting point ??
