Is there a local brick and mortar close to you? I placed an order for this lens with Amazon and then had it cancelled. B&H had this lens on backorder...so I elected to call a brick and mortar and wound up purchasing a copy.
Also, I saw that Adorama offers the lens with an additional 3 years of US warranty for a total of 4-years of warranty, but I don't see it on B&H or Amazon... is there an actual difference? Or does it just come standard, so B&H and Amazon just didn't advertise it?

The Sigma 35 comes with a standard 3 year warranty.
I confirmed with Sigma USA that the warranty on this lens is 1 year international +3 additional years from Sigma USA if you buy from a US dealer. Don't know if this applies for Canadian purchases as well.
Thanks, guys... tomorrow, I'll check with a local store that I haven't been to in almost 8 years.. see if they have one in stock.. if not, I'll try to jump on the wait-list from B&H.

Up here in Canada we get an incredible 10 year warranty!
Warranty 10 Years Your new Sigma product is guaranteed under the Gentec International warranty against manufacturing defects for ten years from the date of the original purchase. The ten year warranty is valid only for products imported and sold by Gentec International through its authorized dealers.
Makes up for the higher prices we pay for our stuff..
BTW Nikon lenses have 5 year warranty and bodies get 2 year warranty up here as well!
Buy with your credit card that doubles the warranty, like my mastercard, and you get a whopping 20 years.
