I would very much appreciate your comments and/or suggestions for improving these photos. I don't know if I achieved my attempt in the first photo to show how small we are in comparison to nature. I also hope the second photo reflects a kind of serenity at the end of the cross-country skiing day. Thanks so much in advance.

I very much like the tones in the first one. I find the placement of the person a bit unfortunate though. I would have placed her more on the track in the lower left third. The way it is now the track and the person compete for attention. You also have all that empty space on the bottom left and a lot going on everywhere else.
