I was down in sunny N. Florida the past few days. I had a blast. I found a spot and was amazed at these pelicans constantly "fishing". It's amazing they don't have headaches Not totally sure but think the heron might be "tri-colored"? Saw it on the edge of a small pond, had to take a few pics. C& C greatly appreciated.
Nice shots! In fact pelicans get cataracts from all the pounding their heads take. Once bad enough they lose the ability to catch fish and I guess you know the eventual outcome.

They may not get headaches - who knows for sure, but they do go blind over time from the pressure on their eyes created by entering the water at relatively high speed.
