Finally got into a good head space to edit some shots. Ive been sick and havent had the focus to do much of anything. Both of these are in Salmon Creek, just a bit north of Ragged Point on HWY1

Like the color palette in the 1st one.
I have two thoughts on the comp.
I feel it needs a little breathing space at the top.
I looked at it as 4x5 crop without the top rocks
and it makes for a more powerful image with the log & the blue/gold

you are very right! it does simplify the image and brings more balance
