Is it normal for the T90 make a clicking sound while the battery check button is pressed?

Yup.

How's your shutter? I had my T90 since its introduction and a few years ago had to have the shutter replaced. Well worth it. Not that I sent a single roll of film through it, but still, the memories...

Wow, brings back memories. BTW, if you depress the DOF preview while shooting, you should get around another 1/2 fps out of the motor drive.
