Both are outstanding. I'm especially fond of the marvelous layers in #1. It's great to see an image work so well even with a foreground that is very bright. There is so much visual interest behind those beautiful trees that the eye is still very attracted to the background. The second one is also terrific with its beautiful hues and that foreground shadow-as-leading-line. I'm wondering if a slight crop off of the left (and maybe top or bottom to keep the proportions) might help to 'contain' the photo a little more, but I still like it a lot.
Thanks for the input! The second shot has already been cropped a bit from the original, but it might still need a little work. I was afraid of losing those little trees on the left.
