Upgraded to the D800. Gonna take some time to get use to it, but enjoying it ! Loving the much faster auto focus

I went out to my normal haunt to see what I could find .

Not too much bird activity going on, but found some guys training their retrievers. Hope those shots don't offend anyone.

WARNING !! If you don't like hunting pictures with ducks and dogs, please don't view the last one.

Great first set Birdie... I love the WP in that sliver of light in #1, nice low angle too.
3 and 5 looks like the AF is tracking well, and the D800 grabbed lots of detail in those blacks in #5.

Have fun and I'm looking forward to tons of great pics from you and your new toy.

Lil, thank you. I still new a lot more practice with it, but what a wonderful camera. Hopefully, my skills will improve to the point that I use all that this camera has to offer

Congrats, congrats...super series! The pelies are spot on and the water dog is a great shot too. I love duck...in fact I had it Saturday night but now I'm thinking of dog slobber all over it yecch!
