A couple of hours yesterday afternoon after work I got to my local place where a rough legged hawk has been pretty much resident the last couple of weeks. Most of the paparazzi has already seen it so there were fewer photogs and cars chasing it from field to field.
I thought I had gotten some very good shots, at least looking on the LCD...but not as good as I had hoped.
So here are some I managed to process tonight...maybe I'll be lucky and find a few that I've overlooked that are a tad better. All taken with 1DX, 500 F4is(version1) and 1.4tc
Eric
#4 is interesting but a bit too bright on the wing. Nice light on the last 2, with #5 being the nicest. With the 500 F4.0 Version 2, your images would have been much better!! Don
#4 is interesting but a bit too bright on the wing. Nice light on the last 2, with #5 being the nicest. Exactly what I was thinking.
I'd say it was still a pretty good day Eric.
Nice shots Eric. I'm liking no 2 because that's how I usually see them -- in the tree branches Also like 4 and the last.
Looks like you are having better luck with your 500 with tc than I do .
A day spent with a cool bird is a day well spent Eric. You did a fine job maintaining focus in the mess of branches. The others have nitted so I don't have too, thanks guys I do like the light in the last two, man that's sweet!!!
looks like a fine day to me eric!. i tried to shoot one of these yesterday and he split before i touched the shutter! #3 would be my fav of this nice group...
