Nice, solid portrait. Nice light, nice exposure, nice catchlights. Conversion conveys the tones and dimensionality of the face very well.
Pupils are pretty dilated so the ambient must have been relatively dark. Probably works to the positive for this particular portrait for more of a "tough guy" feel.

Thank you for your comments ! He's a good kid, Nolaguy -rather avid (classical Spanish) guitar player and pianist. I wish sometimes he had more patience with me when I ask him to be available for some (more) shots ... My daughter and wife are fortunately more forgiving.
