Do you always order them in newborn and different sizes to fit different portrait needs? Or just order a bigger size (say 1 year old? 2 year old?), scrunch it up at the back and make it work for different ages to get more uses out of them?
On a side note: I have a baby boy myself, and goodness girl stuff are so adorable. I sometimes try them on my little one (he will never know lol)
My sister in law makes them and I recall her trying different sizes to fit my nieces 3 month old twins, so based on that. They come in different sizes.
