Has anyone had the opportunity to play with both the Sigma 50-500 os and the Sigma 15-500 os and if so, what are your thoughts?
I am looking for a longer zoom to play with. I have a Nikon 70-200 but would like something longer for things such as sports, bif and an air show that I will be shooting.
I have the Sigma 50-500 OS version. It requires good light and a good, sensitive AF camera system. Works well with good light & a good camera. It's not a Nikon 500 f4, but considering the cost is a very good value. Only real complaint is the lens hood doesn't fit well, Sigma needs to do a better job here. i have the Nikon 70-200 VR1 also and would say the Bigma IQ is slightly better than 70-200 VR1 with TC1.7 at same FL.
Thank you mawyatt. I apreciate you taking the time to comment.
I have the 70-200 and a TC1.7 shooting with my D600 which gives me about a 340 FL. I was looking for some more reach and was curios about the Sigma mostly due to the low cost for such a long lens.
