Can somebody help me with this bird?
I took this picture in the Ranthambore National Park in India. I tried to look it up in my book, the Field Guide to the Birds of Indian Subcontinent, but couldn't find it.
I finally figured out that it's an Indian Robin. According to that article, they're quite variable in plumage dependent upon a north to south distribution.
It looked for all the world to be some sort of wren with that bill and posture but no. Looking at the way the black breast blends into his face got me thinking about the European Robin and, well, there you go.
