I just got a new, for me at least, Epson 9600.
Seems like my XP laptop has no problem operating it and sending images to be printed. The Epson website has drivers for it. But the screen of the laptop is a piece of crap I can't trust.
My desktop, where my pictures are stored and processed, has Windows 7 and can't seem to be able to make the printer sing. No drivers listed in the Epson website for Windows 7 or the new 8..
What do I do??
I need a dedicated XP desktop just to print?

Thanks Vraspa, sounds like a good plan B.
But I would like to still use my desktop since is much more fast and powerful. Seems to move much quicker with photoshop than the laptop.
Someone told me today the Vista drivers may work. I will try and keep posted
I had the same problem with Epson 1280. I can't find any driver updates that work. My solution
is to create a dual boot drive with XP on the primary (C) drive and 7 on the sec. partition. At first I thought this might be hard to create, but following Microsoft instructions, it was a breeze.
It works great and easy to switch operating systems.
