Most of us know the impact that Tim and many others have in this forum....and that he sets the bar high for us!!
After seeing his "teaser" series....I had to engage. For me (and my shooting buddy Larry) its over 7 hours ONE WAY....but we had to partake of the "last light" glory.
So, we drove all night on Friday....got up early Saturday morning to begin the trek across the sand. Will admit that we had some really great light all day....and many birds cooperating for some great shots.
The last bird..on the far end of the point....sat on the log for over 3 hours while the group of us "shooter" kept praying he'd stay until LAST LIGHT. To which he did, and we all engaged the shutters to make sure we got the glory shot!!
Here is my humble attempt to climb the ladder that Tim has climbed and set the bar with. Hope you enjoy as well as I did in my attempt to duplicate a true master at it. Thanks Tim for the challenge.
Nice work. And gorgeous light. Tim makes us all want to get out there and wait for that special shot. Stay tuned; I'm sure he has more stuff to show us all. Don
Great to see you made it over for a nice day!!! I'm always concerned when somebody wants to head to Western WA in the winter, man it's just a crap shoot! You came home with some wonderful shots, I'm sure you have many more. I really do like the opener and your choice to post a wider shot of him. I see you fell prey to the tempting sunsets, I can pass them up either during the walk back to the car. Thank you so much for the kind words, that really is nice of you. This is a wonderful set, I'm looking forward to seeing what else you guys came home with
LOVE #1 Snowy... light of course is gorgeous, but I also like the perch and long grass you included in an excellent composition.
Beautiful sunset to end a wonderful day.
Tim is one hell of a nice guy to know and shoot with and have critiquing your work. Great friend who always has your best interest at heard! Nice owls too!!!
You can ask any one I encounter...I'm always trying
To share, encourage and prod to reach the next
level....and dream of shooting beside the likes of the
Conrad's and Tim's
