I realized that it's been months since I've really taken any pictures of my girl. So I made sure to bring my camera along as we walked around the neighbourhood, looking at the frost and stuff. Fortunately I got a few before my batteries died.
I really like the one with the single sprig covered in frost on the right. When you go out check the frost on cars and the ice on puddles or streams, the ice makes some beautiful patterns.
Typical Neighborboy post. Solid work with your signature processing. I love the photos of the ice and dew. In fact if you consider the first photos their own set, it's strange that it works so well with more photos of the environment than your daughter. But it does.
I have to say that #2 is awesome. It's the kind of photo that would be stunning as a large print in your house.
Nice David, it's been too long.
Really good details as always. I'd like to see 1a in color, I like the conversion (and such a sweet expression) but the b/w robs the contrast between the frost and the pine needles.
Alwin, great advice. I see what you're saying too and I think I'm picturing it in my mind. Sort of a single tree in the fog, with her at it, showing the whole tree, type of deal? Now that *would* be cool!
Nice. I really like 2a. You first just see the tree, and assume (at least I did) its a large bush or small tree (the branches so low to the ground give that feeling), and the you see the little girl which all of sudden gives dimension to the tree...
