I recently updated a slideshow for a local junior college volleyball team. The video was made using Animoto and contains players from the last few seasons. Comments are welcome... enjoy!
Thanks... the overhead shots were taken from a catwalk. I've tried using remotes for volleyball in the past but found the unpredictable action and limited DOF due to lighting resulted in very few keepers.
Hey Jim: I thought your shots were great. Good action and posed shots. The team pic was cool too! I didn't care for the backgrounds too much, I'm sure that is something chosen by the software.
Ben/Jay... Thanks for the feedback. The backgrounds generated by that particular theme were a little awkward, especially when enlarged parts of the photos didn't contain a face. Here's another spin of the video using a simpler theme. Went with another audio track as well:
Definitely better audio on take 2. If you can find something that builds a little more, it would help. The current one stays at about the same energy level the entire time, so feels a little flat.
The new theme looks good, although I didn't have any issues with the first one. I used both in my end-of-the-season videos this year.
