p.1 #1 · I note that Leica is introducing a B&W only M camera....

What is your take on having a B&W only camera? What would you expect in terms of superior ISO and greater resolution? Think Nikon would ever offer such a camera?

More to the point, who will buy it?

Not me, we now have camera's like the D800 and D4 that have superior high iso (Leica is not even close) and you can even transform to B&W in-camera! (picture control settings) I see no reason for a B&W-only camera.

Superlative B&W performance. Most notably, all pixels sense the full visible spectrum. Whereas a color sensor has a green-red-blue-green sensor at each pixel. A true B&W sensor could be awesome. I bet the B&W-M is pretty awesome too, but I have to actual experience.

That sounds like the Foveon sensor that senses all colors on all the sites. It's also a lot cheaper.
