Spent a week camping, hiking and photographing Big Bend National Park this past week. Endured desert rain and snow showers and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The last night I was there, I was out with my wife, stepdaughter and son in law looking to capture a good sunset for my step daughter (she is a budding wedding photog in Tx). We went to a promising spot I had scoped out a few days before on the Hot Springs Trail coming out of the Rio Grande Village and had a feeling due to the skies that it was going to be a light show. Photographing the sun as it dipped below the horizon, I turned and noticed the fantastic light show behind us. I turned around and fired off one. The brilliant pink pastels began to fade immediately and were completely gone in less than 2 minutes. I managed 3 frames and this is the first I fired off. This is almost SOOC with some slight tweaking in LR4. The colors were this brilliant, no saturation added. Though not the best shot I took, it was one of the last few shots I took on this trip and one of the first I opened upon return. I will post more as I work my way through the week we were there.
